For this project we will be experimenting with the "paper painting" collage technique.  This will be a one-for-one swap with each person mailing directly to their recipient.  Each collage can be any topic of your choice but you must primarily use this technique to create your picture.  Collages should be 5"x7" (portrait or landscape) and on either a flat canvasboard, chipboard, matboard, or other sturdy surface.

There are several ways to get started with this technique...  You can start from scratch, laying your colors directly onto a blank canvas; you can paint your image first and then overlay with matching colored paper pieces; or if drawing/painting is a little too daunting, you can start with a photo or other picture and overlay with your paper pieces, creating a wholly new image.  Feel free to embellish your collage however you feel inspired to do.
